Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data akifwani.com collects, why, where it goes, and how to have it removed. In short: data is collected only when you submit a form, it is used only to answer your enquiry, and it is never sold or shared for marketing. The site is operated by Akif Wani, based in Jammu & Kashmir, India.

What data is collected
This site collects personal data only when you choose to submit it through one of the two forms — the contact form and the project quote form. Nothing is collected from you simply by reading a page.
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), subject, message, and optionally a preferred contact time and timezone.
- Quote form: your name, email address, phone number, and the project details you select or type — project type, page or product count, add-ons, an optional custom budget, and an optional project description.
- Technical data: the IP address of the request is recorded with each form submission. It is used to identify and reduce automated spam.
How that data is used
Form submissions are sent by email to info@akifwani.com and used solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to deliver the project you asked about. Your details are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing, and you will not be added to a mailing list as a result of contacting this site.
Where the data goes
Form submissions are transmitted using an SMTP email provider and delivered to the site owner's inbox. They are stored in that email account for as long as is useful for the working relationship, and can be deleted on request.
Third-party services
This site relies on a small number of third-party services, each of which may process limited data:
- Vercel — hosting and content delivery. Vercel processes standard server request data, including IP addresses, as part of serving the site.
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights — privacy-preserving, cookieless measurement of page views and real-world page-speed metrics. No cookies are set, no cross-site identifier is created, and visitors are not tracked between sites or profiled as individuals.
- Google Fonts, self-hosted — the Poppins typeface is served from this site's own domain via next/font, so no request is made to Google when you load a page.
- ipapi.co — when a form containing a phone field is opened, a request is made to ipapi.co to detect your country and pre-select the correct dialling code. This request comes from your browser and exposes your IP address to that service. No other data is sent, and the response is used only to set the country selector.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and runs no analytics script that profiles you across sites. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights are cookieless and aggregate — they record that a page was viewed and how fast it loaded, not who viewed it. Hosting-level request logs are kept by Vercel as part of operating the service.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Because the only data held is what you submitted through a form and the email it produced, deletion is straightforward.
To make any of these requests, email info@akifwani.com. Requests are actioned within a reasonable period and there is no charge.
Data retention
Enquiries that do not become projects are retained only as long as is useful for follow-up. Correspondence relating to completed projects is kept for the period needed for business and accounting purposes, and deleted on request where there is no legal reason to retain it.
Children
This site is a business site aimed at commercial clients. It is not directed at children, and personal data is not knowingly collected from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page with an updated date at the top. Material changes to how data is handled will be reflected here before they take effect.
